On October 6, 2006, I’ll be presenting a 3 1/2-hour seminar, entitled “Understanding Employment Law,” at the Chicago Minority Business Development Council, Inc. (CMBDC) and the Chicago Minority Business Opportunity Center’s (Chicago MBOC) annual Corporate Bridges event.

The event is sponsored by the Northern Trust Company and Smurfit-Stone Container Corp., and it’s scheduled to take place on October 5th and 6th in the Northern Trust Company offices located at 50 South LaSalle Street in Chicago.

The purpose of Corporate Bridges is to provide an education forum for minority owned business owners and managers to receive working knowledge of management practices used by successful organizations. Additionally, the interaction of participants, instructors and sponsors provides a valuable network of business contacts.

CMBDC has been a premier organization for increasing value-added business opportunities between major buying organizations and minority-owned businesses for over thirty-nine years making the Council a credible resource for locating a qualified network of minority businesses to partner with over 200 private and public sector buying organizations with reports of over $3 billion in annual purchases from minority-owned firms.

For more information and to attend, you may contact either me or Rona Fourte’, Executive Director of the Chicago MBOC) at 312-755-8888 or email. Also, more information about my presentation will be posted here.

I’m honored to have been asked to present at this event. Moreover, I’m very appreciative of the opportunity to “perform” and present before such a large audience and such prestigious sponsors and organizers.
