Another President-Elect Obama Newspaper Front-Page Collage

Reader Ben Woods contacted me about an Obama newspaper front-page collage that he created. Like the one I posted on 11/6/08, this is also incredible. If you go to the actual collage on his site, you can enlarge each front-page image. Fantastic job Ben and thanks for contacting me!

The impetus behind my posting this is because I’m a life-long Chicagoan and proud to say that our nation’s 1st black president is from Chicago. Moreover, I’ve represented one of President-Elect Obama’s former employers, Chicago’s own Developing Communities Project, (see my client testimonials page for further information); and I’m board president for Youth Communication Chicago, a publisher of teen newspaper New Expression.

Since I posted the Barack Obama newspaper front-page collage last week, my blog/site has received record traffic. Also, some comments from readers.

Ben Woods, from www.benwoods.com, posted his own collage at http://benwoods.com/assets/images/obama_wallpaper.png. On my blog he says that his is a “real collage.” Come on Ben! Yours is great but nowhere near as impressive as “Geoff’s,” whoever he/she may be. Your collage contains what, about 200 images? Geoff’s has about 700 images.

Isabel Cortes asks if there’s a way to get an electronic image version of the collage. Isabel, I actually made a few unsuccessful attempts at making a jpeg, tiff, etc., version. Unfortunately, I’m not that adept at some of this web publishing and image stuff. Sorry. If you hear of anyone else making a different version of the collage, please let me know.

Obama Newspaper Front-Page Collage

As a life-long Chicagoan, I’m proud to say that our nation’s very 1st black president is from Chicago. Moreover, as an attorney who has represented one of President-Elect Obama’s former employers, Chicago’s own Developing Communities Project, I’m especially excited about his election (see my client testimonials page for further information about this relationship). And, as board president for Youth Communication Chicago, publisher of teen newspaper New Expression, it’s great to see that someone named “Geoff” published a collage of 700 newspaper front-pages from all over the world all announcing President-Elect Obama’s victory. For those who thought that it was really important to get a hard copy newspaper edition as a keepsake, you might want to check this out: http://obama2008.s3.amazonaws.com/headlines.html. If you click on an individual front-page, you’ll see an enlarged version of it. It’s really amazing and helps to depict the magnitude of Barack Obama’s and our nation’s achievement. Also, it won’t yellow over time.
