On Wednesday, July 22, 2009, 2:00pm-3:30pm, at Chicago’s City Hall, 121 N. LaSalle St., Room 805, I’ll be presenting a free labor & employment law seminar.  Thanks to the City of Chicago’s Department of Business Affairs for setting this up.  This will be largely Q&A & round-table discussion.  Additionally, attendees will get a 21-page handout summarizing labor & employment laws, & examining a variety of human resources related legal issues (to see a copy of an earlier handout click here). If you would like to attend just let me know or contact Alfredo Camarena at 312-744-5344 or alfredo.camarena@cityofchicago.org.

Two weeks ago, I was elected to the Young Professionals Board of The Chicago Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of The Chicago Bar Association.  I remain Board Chair for the YMCA Alliance, the workforce development arm of the YMCA’s of Chicago; Board Member for ChildServ, Chicago’s 115 year old child advocacy, housing & adoption agency; and Board Member with the Greater O’Hare Association, one of Chicagoland’s largest business associations.
