On Wednesday, December 2, 2010, I’ll be presenting for the Chicago Bar Association’s Business Law Committee’s monthly lunch meeting at the Chicago Bar Association’s building on 321 S. Plymouth St., Chicago.  The topic of my presentation concerns employment handbooks and policies–why (or why not) businesses should use them, which policies to use and how to implement them.  Continuing legal education credit is available (I believe that these meetings are either .75 or 1 hour of CLE credit).

Additionally, starting Tuesday, January 4, 2011, and during the course of the year, I’ll be presenting labor & employment law & human resources related seminars for Illinois WorkNet Centers, which is part of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

These free business oriented seminars will be taking place at Illinois WorkNet, Illinois Department of Employment Security, 723 W. Algonquin Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60005.

The January 4th meeting starts at 8 AM and runs until 9 AM.  I’ll be discussing employment policies & handbooks, employment agreements, and the cost of employmet disputes.

Registration is at :  http://events.worknetncc.com/MeetingRegistration.aspx?ID=7a3c4659-325a-4aaf-8a23-6f8afe9612e5 or ; and the seminars are free.
